On Friday October 7th we hosted one of the highlights of our school calendar – Our Annual Prizegiving Ceremony.  This year was extra special as we saw the return of the in person ceremony, the first post Covid. It truly was wonderful to have the whole school community together in one place again.

We were very fortunate to have past pupil and Principal of Newtown School Mr. Keith Lemon present the awards as our special guest. We were delighted Mr. Lemon was able to travel from Waterford for the occasion, and we thoroughly enjoyed his speech which highlighted the community spirit that our school is renowned for. Mr. Lemon was also able to regale us with many stories from his time in The Royal and Prior and he even “let slip” he always keeps abreast of the happenings in Raphoe especially the Hockey Team scores!
