An insight into what we can offer at The Royal School House
The grounds surrounding RSH and the house itself are extensive in size and as a result we have a wide variety of facilities for our boarders to benefit from.
Every boarder is welcomed into a warm and friendly environment, and allocated their own personal space within our comfortable and spacious dormitories. Boarders are grouped into dorms according to year group, and we encourage each student to take an active role in the house, enabling them to make friends easily and settle in quickly.
There are many common areas throughout the house where all boarders can get involved in all that RSH has to offer. Our homely and comfortable Common Room allows boarders to relax and spend time together after school, “chilling out” on our leather sofas and watching Netflix on our TV!
Other common areas include our Pool Room, Gym, and Snug which is a popular space at the end of the school day where our boarders enjoy a hot cuppa and a chat! Space for a badminton court has been found inside the house and the Loft holds a Table-Tennis table and a Foosball table for those who wish to play in the evenings.
Outdoors, there are many opportunities to play sports with our Football, Basketball and Tennis facilities. Flood Lighting ensures that the darker evenings won’t get in the way of a good game! Our Boarders’ Council (pictured below) have regular meetings and help to plan our calendar of activities for the year.
