Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of Extra-Curricular activities. The school provides the following activities: Charity Assistance, Choral Singing, Competitions (Art, Essay, Science and Poetry) Computer Club, Debating, Drama, Educational School Tours, Field Trips, Golf, Participation in Slogadh, President's Award Scheme, Public Speaking, Rotary Youth Leadership Scheme, Scripture Union, School Magazine and News Letter.


The school offers the following sports: Adventure Pursuits, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cross-Country, Running, Football, Golf, Hockey, Table-Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. The school keenly promotes a wide range of sports activities at both social and competitive levels. In order to facilitate these sports we have an excellent range of facilities on the school grounds.

Football – 18/10/11 – Cup Match

Under 16 played Scoil Mhuire, Buncrana and defeated 3-2. Goals scored by Ross Doherty and Aaron Kee. All league matches to be played after Christmas.



Hockey – 15/01/11

The under 14 girls hockey team played Clounagh, Portadown in the cup and lost 3-1.

The under 14 girls hockey team played Strabane Grammar and won 3-1


Hockey – 16/02/11

The Under 14 girls hockey team played Strabane High and won 3-0. A good performance. Goals scored by Julie Moore, Helen Lecky and Naomi Wasson.


Badminton – 10/11/10

Congratulations to Ryan Macbeth, Joshua Magee and Rachael Darragh who were runners up at the Champions of Champions in Lisburn yesterday. Well done to Danielle Stewart and Graeme Love who came third in the round robin section on the day.


Badminton – 12/01/11

Friends School Lisburn played Raphoe in three different games. Results were as follows – Junior girls lost 6-0. Junior boys lost 6-0. Minor boys drew 3-3.


Badminton – 28/02/11

The Senior boys played Friend’s School, Lisburn, in the cup and lost 4-2.

The Junior boys played Wallace in the League and lost 6-0.

The Minor boys played Wallace in the cup and won 5-1. This secures their place in the Ulster School’s final. Well Done!
